1 Register on the Official Portal
All CAT applications start on the official recruitment portal. Ensure you are on the correct, government-operated website.
Visit iimcat.ac.in NEVER share your login credentials, OTP, or payment details with third parties. CAT will never call you asking for these.
2 Upload Photograph
Strict Photo Rules for CAT
- File size: 10KB – 1000KB
- Dimensions: 1200 × 1200 px
- Background: white
- • Upload a recent passport-size photograph (not more than 6 months old).
- • Must have a clean white background.
- • The photo uploaded must be identical to the one affixed on the admit card on the exam day.
3 Upload Signature
Strict Signature Rules for CAT
- File size: 10KB – 80KB
- Dimensions: 140 × 60 px
- Ink color: black or or or blue
- • Signature must be clearly signed on clean white paper.
4 Review & Submit Application
- Double-check name spelling exactly as it appears on your 10th Marks card.
- Ensure category selection (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS) is correct as it cannot be changed later.
- Save the final Application Form PDF and Payment Receipt PDF immediately after submission.
