How It Works
Upload Both Sides
Upload or drag-and-drop the front and back images of your ID card. Supports JPG, PNG, and WebP.
Auto-Layout & Merge
The tool detects whether your card is landscape (Aadhaar/PAN) or portrait (Voter ID) and arranges them for best readability.
Download Under 200KB
Get a single compressed JPG that meets government portal limits. Upload it directly to SSC, UPSC, IBPS, or RRB forms.
Smart Layout Detection
Automatic arrangement based on your card's shape
Landscape Cards → Stacked (Top & Bottom)
Aadhaar Card and PAN Card are wider than they are tall. The tool places the front on top and back on the bottom for a clean, readable layout that fits the standard portal upload frame.
Portrait Cards → Side by Side (Left & Right)
Voter ID (EPIC) and College IDs are taller than they are wide. These are placed side-by-side so both sides remain at maximum size and every detail stays legible.
Tips for Best Results
- ✓ Place your card on a dark, flat surface to maximize contrast
- ✓ Ensure even lighting — avoid shadows or flash glare on laminated cards
- ✓ Capture the entire card within the frame — don't crop the edges
- ✓ Use a high-resolution image — photos from any modern phone work great
- ✗ Avoid blurry, tilted, or heavily creased card photos
- ✗ Don't use screenshots of PDFs — use the original scan or photo instead
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my ID card image uploaded to any server?
No. This tool runs 100% inside your browser using the Canvas API. Your images are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server. All processing happens on your device. Once you close the tab, everything is gone.
Will the merged image be under 200KB?
Yes. The tool uses iterative JPEG compression — it starts at high quality and gradually reduces until the output is strictly under 200KB. This meets the upload limits of SSC, UPSC, IBPS, RRB, and most other government exam portals.
Which ID cards does this support?
Any ID card works. The tool auto-detects orientation: landscape IDs like Aadhaar and PAN cards are stacked top-to-bottom, while portrait IDs like Voter ID and College IDs are placed side-by-side. The layout is chosen automatically for maximum readability.
What file formats are accepted?
You can upload JPG, PNG, or WebP images up to 10MB each. The final merged output is always a standard JPEG file, which is universally accepted by all government portals.
Can I use photos taken from my phone camera?
Absolutely. Take a clear photo of the front and back of your ID card using your phone camera, then upload both images. For best results, use good lighting and ensure the full card is visible without shadows or glare.
Why do government portals need both sides in one image?
Many portals like SSC, UPSC, and state PSC websites have a single upload field for 'ID Proof' that accepts only one image file. They expect to see both the front and back of your ID in that single image for verification purposes.
