Every year, thousands of Air Force Common Admission Test applications are rejected due to incorrect photograph and signature formats. Follow this strict guide to ensure your registration is accepted.
1 Register on the Official Portal
All AFCAT applications start on the official recruitment portal. Ensure you are on the correct, government-operated website.
Visit afcat.cdac.in NEVER share your login credentials, OTP, or payment details with third parties. AFCAT will never call you asking for these.
2 Upload Photograph
Strict Photo Rules for AFCAT
- File size: 10KB – 50KB
- Background: light
- CRITICAL: Candidate MUST hold a black slate in front of their chest.
- Name and Date of Photograph must be clearly written on the slate with white chalk in capital letters.
- Front portrait in light background without headgear (except for Sikhs).
3 Upload Signature
Strict Signature Rules for AFCAT
- File size: 10KB – 50KB
- Ink color: black
- Sign on unruled white paper with black ink.
4 Review & Submit Application
- Double-check every field — name spelling, DOB, category, photo, and signature.
- Take a screenshot / printout of the confirmation page with your registration ID.
- Save the payment receipt PDF. Most boards send confirmation via email / SMS.
